The Legend of Sleepy Hollow Washington Irving (1820)

Story: 8 of 10 Stars

So as I was going through my long listed library to go over a piece I haven’t listened to before during my morning routine, yes it is also the spooky season, I realized I had in my hands a copy of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, a book I had obviously heard of, but yet to take in. Seeing that it was under a 2 hour listen, I gave it a go.

Can I tell you my favorite part already? The man reading this rendition. Unfaltering, he balances his words and timing, such a fluid way of speaking. A part of me forgot all about the fact that it was a short read, I all the more simply enjoyed the way “This” man told it. Yes, the story is a classic, it’s great, yada yada yada. But if nothing else, I recommend you listen to this version for the simple enjoyment and skill of word.
